In my younger years I had religion forced on me. As a young adult I only went to church for Christmas Eve services. While attending my last Christmas Eve service at my parent’s church I was sitting near “the pillars” of the church. During a very moving part of that service, I heard those women talking about what others were wearing. I only went back there for my father’s funeral.Time moved on. Over 20 years ago, a friend suggested I go to the Cathedral of Light. I didn’t really want to go, but he insisted COL was different. The first 4 Sundays I attended, I sat in the back & cried because I was so moved.
Rev. Kay and some others helped me through some very trying times.
I moved to California to be with my then spouse. I listened online every chance I could. Whenever I could come home, I planned my return flights so I could attend COL services.
The Cathedral of Light is a balm to my spirit.
I send blessings to all who have been there for me over the years.
I hope I have returned blessings to my church family.

Love and family. It’s very simple. From our first visit, we felt as if we had found a home that was full of love. While we are still new to the family, it feels as if we’ve been together for a much longer time. The connections we’ve made are life long. The why we walk out after each service, full of love and peace is simply amazing.

I had been gone for a very long time when I came back to The Cathedral of Light because I truly was looking for a church family. COL had changed quite a bit from Crossroads CRS, but I’ll never forget meeting Reverend Kelly Smith for the first time and I ask if Reverend Kay was in and she said go ahead and go to the door knock on the door I went down the short hallway stuck my head in and I said well hello Rev Kay .she looked at me and she said sweetie, Michael Frederick, come here and give me a hug and then she asked are you going to sing at my church and I said darling I’m going to be a part of your church. Her exact words were “Oh, goody, now the fun can begin”. I asked her, “ Instead of me just giving money to the church what do we need?” She said, “Darling, we need a parking lot”, and I said, “I’ll put on a show”. She said “What’s the name of it?” and I said, “I don’t know, it hasn’t come to me yet.”
Well, that’s what happened and that’s how I ended up coming back home. So the first show we put on we raised over $50,000 plus, with the help of all the other people involved. I did come to the church to be ordained and that happened as well. You see thoughts become things.
I love The Cathedral of Light and it’s teachings, The Way of Mastery, A Course of Love, A Course in Miracles and all the great teachings but most of all the teaching that there is only love. Only love. Anything outside of that is not true and I absolutely love the fact that we hold on to that Consciousness, we live that Consciousness, and we become that Consciousness. Thank you, Cathedral Of Light for you were the family I was looking for. And thank you, God, I came home!!

I love my Church!! We have enjoyed 32 years of unconditional love. When I enter the sanctuary I am engulfed by love, joy, peace and the beauty of wholeness. The Church family, the board, the staff and the prayer partners are the most loving and caring people on the planet! The message, music, and fellowship are inspiring and life changing. This beautiful experience has touched my life in ways I cannot explain. Come share your day with us and feel the love.
