Join us on Facebook Live every Sunday in July for the following sermon series! We’ll be exploring some American ideals.
July 5: Freedom
What does it mean to be free? What are the chains that bind us? Can one’s soul be free even when the body is restricted, burdened, imprisoned? Or when the mind is held captive by obsession/addiction or emotions stunted? What about the freedom to cause harm? Where does one’s freedom end? Where another’s begins?
July 12: Hope
It’s a word we are thinking about al lot lately. Do you feel hopeless about the pandemic situation, the state of race relations, politics, a relationship in your life? Let’s talk about hope—finding it, and reframing it into action.
July 19: Harmony
How important is it to live in harmony? What does that mean? Have you ever kept quiet about something important in the name of harmony? Lost yourself in a relationship or a job or a family because you knew if you spoke up there would be disharmony? Can we choose harmony and live our truth? How?
July 26: Inspiration
Do you find yourself lethargic and uninspired during this enforced time of aloneness, physical distance, restrictions on travel, assembly? How can we find inspiration? Do we make our own? When we don’t feel like ourselves, or our old perception of ourselves, how can we spark our passion for life in new ways?
